SAVANNAH, Ga. – The Savannah State University women's basketball team (2-11, 0-2 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) starts a four-game homestand with University of Maryland Eastern Shore (3-12, 0-3 MEAC) Saturday at 4 p.m. in Tiger Arena.
 
Junior forward Kaylee Allen leads the Lady Tigers with 13.3 points per game, which ranks eighth in the MEAC, and averages 4.6 rebounds.  In the two conference games, the Cincinnati, Ohio native averages 18.5 points, which ranks third in the conference and 8.5 rebounds, which ranks eighth in the MEAC.  
 
Freshman center Alexxus Sowell leads the team with 7.0 rebounds per game, which ranks 10^th in the MEAC, and leads with 1.4 blocks per game, which ranks sixth in the conference, while freshman guard Heniaya Moton averages 7.1 points.
 
Maryland Eastern Shore has lost the last four games and are led by Bairesha Gill-Miles with 10.3 points per game and with 6.2 rebounds per game, while Ciani Byrom averages 9.8 points and Jordyn Smith adds 7.9 points per game and 5.3 rebounds per game.
 
The Lady Tigers continue the homestand with Howard University Monday at 6 p.m. in Tiger Arena.
