NORFOLK, Va. – Sophomores
Zach Otto and
Adam Walden of the Savannah State University men's golf team was named on the 2017 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Men's Golf All-Academic Team, announced by the conference Tuesday.
Otto finished in a tie for sixth place at the SSU Fall Invitational with a 10-over par 226 three round score. He also finished fifth in the 10
th annual Morehouse Classic with a five-over par 76, while Walden won the 10th annual Morehouse Classic, the FAMU Spring Invitational and the SSU Fall Invitational.
Overall, a total of 23 student-athletes were announced on the team from the men's golf team. To be eligible for the team, a student-athlete must have a 3.0 or better cumulative grade point average that includes sophomores, juniors and seniors, as well as transfer student-athletes, who have been in residence at their institution for at least a year.
