MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C.-The Savannah State cross country teams participated in the Will Wilson Cross Country Invitational hosted by The Citadel at James Island County Park.

Freshman Sholonda Snell finished ninth overall for the SSU women with a time of 22:40.56.

Miara Elmore and
Kiana Robinson finished 13th and 14th for Savannah State with times of 23:14.56 and 23:14.69respectively.

Jahmee Reeves was 17th with a run of 25:09.49 while
Lawren Crawford finished the 5k race with a time of 29:58.08 to place 25th.

The Citadel claimed first place with a score of 25 followed by Charleston Southern (49), SSU (75), Benedict (84) and Morris (123).

The SSU men were led by sophomore Michael Smith who had a time of 29:58.31 which was good enough to finish 15th overall.

Kenneth Nealy was 23rd with a time of 32:07.39 while
Brandon Davis was 29th with a run of 33:11.99. Rounding out the Savannah State men were
Randolph Barratt and
Morgan Ellis-Foster. Barratt was 34the with a time of 34:05.86whileEllis-Foster was 35th with a run of 34:36.72.

The Citadel won the 8k event with a score of 24 followed by Benedict (48), USCÂ Beaufort (86), Charleston Southern (88), SSU (112) and Morris (164).
