MEAC Golf Championship Returns To Savannah

SAVANNAH, Ga. – For the second consecutive year, the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Men's Golf Championship will be played at Crosswinds Golf Club in Savannah, Ga.
 
The 2015 MEAC  Championship Tournament will feature Savannah State, Bethune-Cookman, Florida A&M, Hampton, Maryland Eastern Shore, North Carolina Central, and Georgia Regents of Augusta. ­
 
The three-round championship will be played over a three-day period, beginning April 23 at 8 a.m. with the opening round. The final round will begin at 8 a.m. on Saturday, April 25. Pairings will be announced on Thursday, April 23, and live scoring will be available during the match.
 
The winning team will receive an automatic bid to the NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championship held at the Concession Golf Club in Bradenton, Florida May 29 – June 3. The Division I Men's Golf Selection Show will air Monday, May 4 at 10 a.m. on the Golf Channel.
 
The 2014 MEAC Men's Golf Championship, in its inaugural return to the MEAC championship roster, was played at Crosswinds Golf Club. Bethune-Cookman (861) won the tournament with Savannah State (876) finishing second. Cookman's Ryan Fricker won individual medalist honors with a three-round score of 210.
 
Crosswinds Golf Club, Savannah State's home course, is a traditional Lowcountry golf course with an open parkland style design. The 72-par course features undulating Tifeagle greens and rolling, well-bunkered Bermuda fairways with streams, ponds and marshes.
