> Savannah State enters the final game of the regular season on a seven game win streak; both the longest win streak of the current season and in the program's Division I history. They've won 13 of their last 15 games.
> With a 65-54 win over N.C. Central in the Lady Tigers' last outing, they sealed up the No. 2 spot in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) standings. Even with a lost to FAMU, they will win the outright against N.C. A&T and Norfolk State, earning a guaranteed first round bye in next week's MEAC Championship Tournament.
> Their current 12-3 conference record is the best in the program's MEAC history.
> This will be the 24th meeting of SSU and Florida A&M, and the second meeting this season. The Lady Rattlers lead the series 18-4. The Lady Tigers beat FAMU 77-55 in their last meeting on February 23.
> As a team, SSU is ranked first in the MEAC and third nationally in steals per game, averaging 12.4 a game.
> MEAC preseason player of the year Ezinne Kalu leads the Lady Tigers in scoring averaging 16.4 points a game. She is ranked 7th nationally in steals per game, and among active players in NCAA Division I, she is third in scoring, and first in career steals (366).
> Senior Jasmine Norman is the only other Lady Tiger in double-digit scoring, averaging 11.2 points per game.
