NOTES:
> Savannah State concluded the 2014-15 regular season on a program-high 8-game winning streak, as well as a program-high 13-3 MEAC record. They enter the 2015 MEAC Championship Tournament with the highest seeding (No. 2) in the program's four years of MEAC competition.
> In last year's MEAC Championship, the Lady Tigers made it deeper in the tournament than any previous basketball squad had. They lost to five-time defending MEAC champions Hampton in the semifinals, after picking up wins over Florida A&M and Morgan State.
> SSU earned some payback during the regular season, breaking Hampton's 54-game win streak over fellow MEAC opponents with a 61-55 win in Tiger Arena.
> The Lady Tigers escaped Baltimore, Maryland back in February with a 63-56 overtime victory over Coppin State in the team's last meeting. The Lady Eagles held the lead for 23 minutes in that game, as SSU had one of their poorest shooting games of the season, managing only a 33.3 percent clip in the opening half. The Lady Tigers scrambled in the final minutes of regulation to tie the game. SSU dominated in overtime outscoring CSU 8-1 for the final score.
> MEAC preseason player of the year Ezinne Kalu leads the team in her fifth and final year in points (444), scoring average (16.4), field goal's made (156), free-throws made (113), assists (89), and steals (90). Kalu leads the MEAC and is fifth in the nation in steals per game (3.3).
> As a team, SSU leads the MEAC and is ranked fourth in the nation in steals per game, averaging 12.3 an outing.
> Senior Jasmine Norman is the only other Lady Tiger in double-digit scoring, averaging 11.0 points a game off the bench. Sophomore Kenyata Hendrix trails Norman with 9.6 points a game.
