Tiger Bites
· SSU will meet Coppin for the 4th time with Savannah State leading the series, 3-0. Both teams are looking to improve in the MEAC standing as Coppin currently sits in ninth place and SSU is in the 12th place spot.

· SSU  is looking to snap its 0-15 road record this season. The Tigers are winless when playing on the road and only have three road games remaining before heading to the MEAC Tournament in March.

· SSU is getting quality minutes from its five newcomers to the program. Transfer Brian Pearson and freshmen Jamal Norman and Treyvon Francis have all started in the last five games for the Tigers. Pearson is leading the group averaging 6.4 points and 3.9 rebounds per  game. Another freshman, Khalen Pinkett leads the class in starts with 18. Pinkett has come off the bench in the last two games.

· Defense is the pride of any Horace Broadnax coached team. The Tigers are ranked 1st in the MEAC and 6th nationally in steals averaging 9.3 per game. SSU is also first in the conference and 16th nationally in total steals with 205.
