Game Notes: · SSU will meet Bethune-Cookman for the 41st time with Bethune-Cookman leading the series 21-19. Bethune-Cookman is currently in the eighth place position with a 6-6 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference record, while SSU sits in the 12th place spot. This will be the only time the teams meet in the regular season this year.
· This is the fourth of a four-game home stand for SSU. The Tigers lost to S.C. State and Howard, defeated Florida A&M and will host Bethune-Cookman in Tiger Arena tonight. This is the third of three games in a five-day period for the Tigers.
· SSU head coach
Horace Broadnax served as the head coach at Bethune-Cookman from 1997-2002. During his tenure at B-CU, he was named MEAC Coach of the Year twice in a five-year span. At SSU, he has one MEAC Coach of the Year accolade, a MEAC regular season title and a NIT appearance.
· Defense is the pride of any
Horace Broadnax coached team. The Tigers are ranked 1st in the MEAC and 6th nationally in steals averaging 9.1 per game. SSU is also first in the conference and 13th nationally in total steals with 237.
