Tickets: Click HereThe Game:The Savannah State men's basketball team will put their unbeaten record on the line when they face Arkansas State in Tiger Arena for a 7 p.m. tip-off.
The Tigers (2-0) are coming off of a come from behind 59-57 win over Campbell on November 16.
SSU was down 11 points with 4:46 left in the game but held the Camels scoreless the rest of the way as they finished the contest with a 13-0 run.
Christopher Martin led the way with 17 points while
Lenjo Kilo added 10 points.
Dexter McClanahan came off the bench to chip in nine points while
Brian Pearson grabbed a game-high eight rebounds.
For the season, Martin is averaging 16.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and two assists per game.
Troyce Manassa averaged 8.5 points and 4.5 rebounds a game while
Casey Wells averaged eight points and game and Pearson averages 14 rebounds per game.
Arkansas State (1-1) enters the game after defeating Lyon College 81-37 on Nov. 16.
Anthony Livingston led the way for ASU with 10 points and 10 rebounds, while Donte Thomas added 10 points, five rebounds and five assists on the night. Devin Carter and Nouhoum Bocoum rounded out the scoring with nine points each for the Wolves.
On the season, the Wolves, who compete in the Sun Belt, are led offensively by Carter (15.5 ppg and 4 rpg), Thomas (13.5 ppg, 6.5 rpg and 4.5 apg) and Livingston (12 ppg and 9.5 rpg).
The series is tied 1-1 with both games being contested during the 2010-11 season. The home team has won both meetings, A-State 87-74 on Dec. 20, 2010 and Savannah State 75-69 on Feb. 1, 2011.
