NORFOLK, Va.- The Savannah State University cross country team has had five student-athletes selected to this year's Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference All-Academic Team.

The SSU contingent consists of three from the men's squad and two from the women's team.
Sophomores
Randolph Barratt,
Kenneth Nealy  and
Michael Smith represent the SSU men while sophomores
Miara Elmore and
Kourtney Sizemore made the list for the women.
Barratt is from Newton, Georgia, Nealy is from Lilburn, GA and Smith is from Atlanta, GA. Elmore is a native of Columbus, GA while Sizemore hails from Rincon, GA.
Ninety-two (92) student-athletes who achieved academic success during the 2014-15 school year were honored. The MEAC recognizes student-athletes with a 3.0 or better cumulative grade point average, including sophomores, juniors and seniors, as well as transfer student-athletes, who have been in residence at the institution for at least one year.
