MT. VERNON, Ga.- Savannah State opened their 2025 cross country season by participating in the Brewton-Parker Invitational.
Although four teams ran in the meet, Savannah State was the only squad that had a full team of at least five members.
Jada Dubose led all Savannah State runners in the 5k race with a time of 26:46.05 which was good enough for sixth place.
Right behind Dubose in seventh place was
Kaliyah Brown who was timed at 26:56.27.
Saniya Swain finished 13th with a run of 29.47.19 while
Camille Tinsley finished 15th followed by
Victoria Taylor who was 16th.
Tinsley had a time of 30:23.89 and Taylor was clocked at 33:05.81.
Other participating schools include Brewton-Parker, Oxford College and Florida State College (Jacksonville).
