NOTES:
> Savannah State took sole possession of second place in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) standings after two big wins over No. 1 Hampton and then No. 2 Norfolk State last week.
> SSU concludes a three-game home stand with the program's 11th game against North Carolina A&T State. The Lady Tigers slipped past the Aggies a few weeks ago with a 59-56 win. It was SSU's first MEAC win against NCAT, who leads the series 8-2.
> The Aggies - who enter the game 4-4 in the conference - were slated to win the MEAC title this year in a MEAC preseason poll voted on by head coaches and sports information directors.
> The Lady Tigers have been stellar at home over the last two years. They are currently 16-4 in Tiger Arena since the beginning of the 2013-14 season, and 6-2 in the current season.
> SSU is led by MEAC preseason player of the year Ezinne Kalu. The redshirt senior out of Newark, N.J. is averaging 17.6 points a game, and leads the team in assists (60). Kalu also leads the MEAC in steals, averaging 3.3 a game. Senior Jasmine Norman follows Kalu in the stats, and is the only other Lady Tiger averaging double-digit scoring (10.6).
> SSU has the No. 1 scoring offense in the MEAC, averaging 63.7 points a game. NCAT has the No. 1 scoring defense in the MEAC, with 56.3 points a game.
