> Savannah State enters today's Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) game with Norfolk State off one of the program's biggest wins. On Saturday, SSU broke five-time defending MEAC champion Hampton's 54-game conference win streak.
> The Lady Tigers were led by yet another double-digit scoring effort from MEAC Preseason Player of the Year, and SSU redshirt senior Ezinne Kalu. Kalu leads the league and team in steals (3.2 avg) and the team in points (17.6 avg), and assists (57).
> The Lady Tigers have been stellar at home over the last two years. They are currently 15-4 in Tiger Arena since the beginning of the 2013-14 season, and 5-2 in the current season.
> SSU gets no rest as the No. 2 team in the MEAC pays a visit to Tiger Arena. The Lady Spartans enter the 9th game of the series with SSU with a 5-2 conference record, and a 5-3 advantage in the overall series. However, SSU has beaten Norfolk State in the last two meetings, both in Tiger Arena.
> After Saturday's win, SSU now has the highest scoring offense (64.1 avg) in the conference.
