Tiger Bites
· SSU will meet Norfolk State for the 8th time with Norfolk leading the series, 7-0. The Tigers have yet to beat the Spartans in 7 tries. The series dates back to 2004.

· SSU will play its 6th game at home and is ready to Defend the Den once again. SSU won its first conference game defeating Hampton at home on Saturday night. The Tigers are currently 5-0 in Tiger Arena.

· Freshman guard Khalen Pinkett  has started in 18 of 19 games and is already establishing himself within the basketball program. The  Norcross, Ga. native, leads all SSU freshman in  steals (30) and assists (21). He is also 5th in the MEAC in steals.

· The Tigers are currently ranked 298th in the Division I ESPN RPI rankings out of 351 schools. SSU is 6th amongst MEAC institutions with N.C. Central leading at the 98th spot. Norfolk State is 2nd in the MEAC and 181st overall. 

· Defense is the pride of any Horace Broadnax coached team. The Tigers are ranked 1st in the MEAC and 8th nationally in steals averaging 9.4 per game. SSU is also first in the conference and 12th nationally in total steals with 171.
