GAME NOTES:
Savannah State enters Sunday's nonconference road match off a 71-62 win over Alabama State 10-days ago.
SSU is searching for its first road win after falling to Arkansas in their first and only road match of the young season.
This will be the second meeting of the two Division I programs. SSU beat Troy 93-84 in Tiger Arena, in the team's first meeting last December. (Read about it here)
The Lady Tigers are led by redshirt senior Ezinne Kalu, who is averaging 19.7 points a game. Kalu also leads the team in assists with 12.
Sophomore Kenyata Hendrix trails Kalu, averaging 15.7 points a game. She leads the team from beyond the arch, with a .379 3-point shooting percentage (11-for-29).
After three games, the Lady Tigers as a team have a .425 field goal percentage and are averaging 74.3 points a game.
Troy is the only opponent from the Sun Belt Conference SSU will face this year.
