THE GAME:
Savannah State enters today's Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) match against Howard off a disappointing outing at Coppin State on Saturday. The Lady Tigers will look to rebound from a 15 point loss in their second MEAC game of the season.

Today will be the second of eight road MEAC games this season. The Lady Tigers return home for the rest of January after today's game for four MEAC bouts in Tiger Arena, including the second match up against Howard at the end of January.

This is the third meeting of the teams. Howard has a 2-0 advantage in the overall series. The teams have never met outside of MEAC play.

SSU joined the MEAC in the 2011-12 season. They lost to Howard in their first season playing in the conference, 51-64 in Tiger Arena and then in the 2012-13 season they fell 41-53 in Burr Gymnasium.

Senior Ezinne Kalu leads the Lady Tigers, averaging 15.3 points per game. Jasmine Kirkland, who set a career-high scoring record in SSU's lost to Coppin State is averaging 9.0 points per game.
