SSU Student-Athletes Honored For Academic Success

NORFOLK, Va. – The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) announced the 2013 Commissioner's All-Academic Team last week and among the 882 student-athletes to receive the accolade were 59 Savannah State student-athletes.

The honor recognizes MEAC student-athletes, including sophomores to seniors, with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better.

“I am excited to highlight the 882 student-athletes who maintained a 3.0 or better grade point average during the 2012-13 academic school year,” said Commissioner Dennis E. Thomas. “I would like to commend the administrators, athletic academic support staff and personnel, coaches, institutions, and parents for their contributions to the academic success of these student-athletes.”
