SAVANNAH, Ga.-Spring Break is now in the rear view mirror and the chase to the postseason is now at hand for our spring sports. Women's Tennis, Men's & Women's Golf, Baseball, Softball, and Men's & Women's Track and Field are all in action this week. We'll cover all of the action in our latest edition of "This Week In Tiger Athletics".
Women's Tennis
Head Coach Chuck Keenan and the Savannah State Women's Tennis squad close out the home portion of their schedule on Monday, March 23rd as they welcome the Yeowomen of Oberlin College to town for a non-conference match. It will also be the final home match for grad student Sunzahra Banks as she will be honored prior to the start of the match. First serve is set for 3:00pm at the Tiger Tennis Courts.

Men's & Women's Golf
The golf squads head north to the Upstate of South Carolina to participate in the Cherokee Invitational hosted by North Greenville University. The action begins on Monday, March 23rd-Tuesday, March 24th at the Cherokee Valley Course & Club in Tigerville, South Carolina.

Men's & Women's Track & Field
The Track & Field squads hit the road for the first time this outdoor season as they will head to Atlanta to take part in the 2026 edition of the Morehouse Relays. The action will take place Thursday, March 26th-Saturday, March 28th at Edwin Moses Track.

Softball
After a weekend that saw the Lady Tigers get back on track with a home series win over Fort Valley State, the softball squad heads to Columbia, South Carolina to begin a three-game road series against the Lady Yellow Jackets of Allen University. The series begins with a doubleheader on Friday, March 27th at 5:00pm & 7:00pm, and will conclude on Saturday, March 28th at 1:00pm.

Baseball
Head Coach Tino Burgos and the baseball squad will return home to Tiger Field for four contests this week. On Tuesday, March 24th, the Tigers will matchup with Claflin University for a non-conference game starting at 4:00pm. Then, Savannah State will begin an important three-game SIAC series against Miles College. The action begins with a doubleheader on Saturday, March 28th at 12:00pm & 4:00pm, then the series finale on Sunday, March 29th at 12:00pm. All four games this week will be shown live on the Savannah State Sports Network with student broadcaster Joshua Ryans on the play-by-play.
