SAVANNAH, Ga. – The Savannah State softball program suffered their first no-hitter in 154 games Tuesday night at Lady Tiger Softball Field in a 0-10 loss to the University of Arkansas.
Kimmy Beasley pitched 6.0 innings with seven strikeouts to give the Razorbacks their first no-hitter since 2006. The Lady Tigers last suffered a hitless game in February of 2010 in a 0-8 loss to Alabama State.

Madison Hedderly was tagged with her sixth pitching loss of the season after six innings of work. Hedderly allowed 10 earned runs on 11 hits with four walks and three strikeouts.
The Razorbacks opened the scoring in the first inning behind an RBI single from Chloe Oprzedek that scored Devon Wallace. Clarisa Navarro singled to score Oprzedek to lift Arkansas to a 2-0 advantage.
The Lady Tigers defense went to work in the second and third innings, holding the Razorbacks to only one hit and no runs.
Arkansas pushed away in the fourth with four additional runs on three hits for a 6-0 lead. The offense was led by Jennifer Rambo who blasted a three-run homer over the centerfield wall. In the sixth, the Razorbacks shut the door on SSU with a home run from Navarro that lifted the visitors to a 10-0 lead.
Beasley capped the no-hitter with three straight strikeouts in the bottom of the sixth, ending the game early due to mercy rule.
The Lady Tigers conclude the two-game series with Arkansas on Wednesday night at Lady Tiger Field. First pitch is set for 6 p.m.
