JACKSONVILLE, Fla.-Savannah State closed out their regular season with a 5-4 loss to Edward Waters on Saturday.
With the loss, Edward Waters sweeps the three game series with SSU.
EWU struck first with two runs in the first inning before scoring twice more in the bottom of the second for a 4-0 lead.
Savannah State scored their first run in the third inning and sliced their deficit to one by adding two more runs in the fourth.
The Lady Tigers tied the game at 4-4 in the top of the sixth but Edward Waters scored the game winning run in the bottom of the sixth to get the win.
Kennedy Albrooks went 2-for-2 at the plate for SSU and drove in three runs while
Madison Starling-Martin went 2-for-3.
Nia Fisher pitched four innings and struck out six batters for Savannah State. Fisher gave up five hits and just one run.
The Lady Tigers end their regular season with a 15-25 overall record and a 11-13 SIAC record.
