THE GAME:
The Lady Tigers return home after an exhaustive, 10-game, season long road stretch. During the odyssey, the team went 3-7 with big wins over Texas San Antonio and Charleston Southern.

In their last outing, the Lady Tigers fell to #13 South Carolina 40-82 in Columbia, South Carolina. (Full Story)

This is the first time Savannah State women's basketball has played Troy. The Lady Tigers are 3-14 against Sun-Belt teams, since Savannah State elevated to Division I in the 2001 02 season. Troy is only the fourth Sun-Belt team SSU has played. The other three are Georgia State, Georgia Southern, and UL-Lafayette. SSU has one win over Georgia Southern, and two wins over UL-Lafayette, historically.

The Lady Tigers are led by senior Ezinne Kalu. She is averaging 14.1 points per game with 155 points overall. Coach Baker, in preparation for MEAC play has not started Kalu in the last three games. Kalu is expected to return to a starting role with the upcoming MEAC schedule.
