The Game

Series:                      Miami leads the series 3-0
Last Meeting:          Miami defeated SSU 105-65 on January 3, 2004

Quick Notes:   
                     
· This will be the fourth meeting between the Tigers and the Hurricanes. The series dates backs to 1989.

· The Tigers have dropped seven in a row… It is the longest losing streak so far this season.

· The Tigers loss at home against North Florida was the first home loss of the season for SSU. It also snapped a six-game home streak dating back to last season.

· SSU's Jyles Smith was named the MEAC Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending 11/17.

· In his 9th season, head coach Horace Broadnax is SSU's second longest tenured basketball coach.  He is also 3rd in wins with 107.

· Miami will be the second team from the ACC that SSU has hosted in Tiger Arena. SSU played Georgia Tech in December 2011.

· The game will be a homecoming for Miami senior Rion Brown. The 6-6 guard was born in Savannah but grew up in nearby Hinesville where he played at Liberty County High School.
