THE GAME:
Savannah State plays the fourth game of a 10-game road stretch tonight against the Bulldogs. This is the fifth time the programs have faced off since SSU elevated to Division I in the 2002-03 season. SSU is 0-4 against Mississippi State.

SSU played Mississippi State in their sixth game last year as well. They lost to the Bulldogs 55-70 in Humphrey Coliseum.

The Lady Tigers have only two SEC opponents on the schedule this year. They are slated to play South Carolina on December 28. In the 2012-13 season, SSU scheduled a program high four SEC games.

The Lady Tigers have multiple scoring threats this season. Senior point guard Ezinne Kalu leads the team with 61 points, and a 12.2 avg. Freshman Kenyata Hendrix follows with a 9.6 avg. and 48 points. Jasmine Kirkland has 39 points and a 7.8 avg., while Jasmine Norman has scored 36 points with a 7.2 average.

Tiyonda Davis leads the team in rebounds with 28, averaging 5.6 per game.
SSU has outshot opponents from the field 123-99, and from beyond the arch 16-13. As a team they are shooting at a 37.4 percent clip from the floor.
