SSU Athletic Department Adds Staff Members

SAVANNAH, Ga. - The Savannah State athletic department added several members to its staff, recently.

Zachery Hall will serve as the department's equipment manager. Hall will be in charge of the procurement and maintenance of uniforms, and all equipment for the department's sports. He will help maintain the safety of all equipment used for practice and the games, and help ensure the departments compliance with the National Operating Committee on Standards of Athletic Equipment (NOCSAE).

Brandon Benjamin and Francine Nzilampa will both serve as athletics academic program specialist, assisting in monitoring the overall academic health of Savannah State athletics. They will assist in the monitoring and tracking of academics for the NCAA, Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference and for institutional eligibility.

Nate Ayotte joined the staff as the assistant athletic trainer after finishing a year internship last year. Ayotte obtained his AT certification through the National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification in early 2012, and is a State of Georgia licensed athletic trainer.

Melanie Briscoe joins the department as the office manager. Briscoe will help to run daily operations of the athletic department office and will assist with ticket and game day operations.
