JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Savannah State men's golf team placed eighth in the final results of the 2012 Don Benbow Golf Invitational at Jacksonville Beach Golf Course this past weekend. The Tigers finished with an overall team score of 598 over the three day tournament.
Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis won the tournament with a team score of 575. Sam Houston State University placed second with a team score of 576.
Ryan Lassiter led the Tigers, placing 7
th overall in the individual scoring with a two day combined score of 146 (75, 71). Ceda Ilic and
Brandon Neals tied for 26
th with an overall score of 150.
Scott Rogers finished 45
th with a two day score of 154 (77, 77).
Javier Godoy placed 49
th with a two score of 155 (79, 76).
The Tigers continue the season with a visit to Tallahassee, Florida this weekend for the Florida A&M Invitational.
