DAYTONA BEACH, Fla.- The Savannah State men's golf team closed out the month of February with a 6
th place finish in the Gary Freeman B-CU Spring Invitational played at the LPGA International Golf Course.
SSU finished with a team score of 906 (305-297-304).
Leading the way for the Tigers was Ceda ilac who finished tied for 17
th with a 226 (75-76-75). Caleb Simmons was tied for 21
st with a score of 228 (75-79-74) while
Brandon Neals shot 229 (78-73-78) to finish tied for 23
rd.
Ryan Lassiter finished tied for 30
th with a score of 230 (80-71-79) and
Javier Godoy was 34
th after shooting 231 (77-77-77).
Laval won the tournament with a team score of 873 (300-285-288) while host Bethune-Cookman was second with a score of 876 (294-289-293).
Individual honors for lowest score went to Florida Atlantics Clint Wilhelm who shot 212 (72-67-73).
