TALLAHASSEE, Fla.—Savannah State University fell 1-5 to Florida A&M University on the last day of their weekend games.
India Morgan led off with an unearned run then scored on a throwing error by Florida A&M's short stop to give SSU a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning.
FAMU's Jasmine Donaldson battled back with a double then scored on a triple by Whitney Robinson. Taylor West grounded out to second base scoring Robinson giving Florida A&M 2-1 lead at the end of the first inning.
Florida A&M added three runs to go ahead 5-1 in the bottom of the fourth, as Erika Garcia, Jasmine Donaldson and Ashanti Shepard all drove in runs.
The Lady Tigers made three hits and no errors while the Lady Rattlers recorded one error and eight hits.
