BOONE, N.C.- The Savannah State men's track team opened their 2011 indoor season with a trio of second place finishes at the Appalachian State Invitational held at Holmes Convocation Center.

Gregory Terrell, the 4x400m relay team and Justin Taylor all produced a second place finish.

Terrell was second in the 200m with a time of 22.41, the relay team (Chaz Price, Darrius Baker, Terrell and Etchien Assinzo) was timed at 3:22.23 while Taylor had a leap of 14.48m in the triple jump.

Assinzo finished third in the 800m with a time of 1:57.43.

At the end of the day, Savannah State had 10 top 10 finishes.
