Savannah, Ga.—Savannah State University Lady Tigers basketball team will open its 2011-12 season at home against Paine College on November 11 at 7 p.m. in Tiger Arena.
 
SSU will honor Veterans Day at the event. All veterans and active military personnel will receive free admission into the game with valid identification.
 
SSU has faced off against Paine College 32 times, and currently leads 21-11 in the series. The last matchup was during the 2000-01 season under head coach Anita Walsh-Harris's leadership. SSU played Paine twice that year and lost 56-63 on the road but bounced back at home winning 63-50.
