Reykjavik, Iceland--Savannah State's freshman tennis player Sandra Kristjansdottir was selected as Iceland's 2010 Tennis Woman of the Year by the Icelandic Tennis Association.

Kristjansdottir, a native of Kopavagur, Iceland, also won the “Woman of the Year” award in 2008.

Kristjansdottir has a long history of Icelandic national championship titles. She is the reigning Icelandic's National Champion in women's singles, women's doubles, and mixed doubles.

SSU's tennis team will open their 2011 season on February 4 at Jacksonville University. First serve is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
