ATLANTA, Ga.- Amara Jones and Tyrone McCoy set new Savannah State track records while participating in the Georgia Tech Invitational held at Griffin Track.

Jones broke her old record in the women's 200m while McCoy set a new mark in the men's 800m race.

Jones finished 13th and had a time of 23.90 while McCoy placed 33rd with a time of 1:53.13.

Jones had a time of 55.47 to finish 16th in the 400m while Aleah Hordges set a personal best in the 400m with a time of 56.52 to finish 26th.

Sharonda Redfield was 13th in the triple jump with a leap of 12.28m while Amber Hughes was 19th with a jump of 11.94m.

Eric Plump had a career-best time in the men's 200m. Plump finished 10th with a time of 21.20. Darrius Baker placed 27th in the 200m with a run of 21.74.

Etchion Assinzo posted a career-best time of 1:54.30 in the 800m which was good enough for 49th.

Ruben Isreal-McBee had a personal best time of 16:03.25 in the 5000m which was good enough to finish 18th.
