Savannah, Ga.—Savannah State volleyball team won their last home game of the 2010 season by defeating Morris College 3-0 (25-15, 25-16, 25-17) in Willcox Wiley gymnasium in front of a crowd of 70 cheering Tiger fans.
Veteran players
Keandra Lewis, and
Whitney Bullock dominated the game in kills earning 12 each, while setter
Ashlee Butler recorded the game high of 39 assists.
Lady Tiger
Kaneisha Hamilton defensively led the game recording 16 digs, while Lewis also earned the game high of three service aces.
Morris' Ebony Murchinson led the team in kills with 11.
Currently the SSU volleyball team is 4-22.
The Lady Tigers will hit the road to play Paine College in Augusta, Ga. on November 4 at 6:00 p.m., and then return to Savannah to play Armstrong Atlantic for their last game of the 2010 season. SSU will play AASU on November 9 at 7:00 p.m. on the Pirate's campus.
