CHARLOTTE, N.C.- The Savannah State men's cross-country team participated in the Charlotte Invitational hosted by the University of Charlotte at McAlpine Creek Park.

SSU placed 18th out of 21 teams with 497 points but more importantly the team finished the course in under 30 minutes. As a team, the Tigers had an average time of 28:48.0.

The Tigers were led by senior Tyrone McCoy who ran a personal best of 27:06 which was good enough for 83rd place. Ruben Isreal-McBee finished next for the Tigers with a time of 27:47 which was good enough for 111th place. Roland Assinzo (134th), Kristopher Ballou (156th), and Miguel Velasquez (174th) rounded out the scores for the Tigers with times of 28:46, 29:31 and 30:50 respectively.
