CLINTON, S.C.- Presbyterian swept a double header from Savannah State at the PC Softball Complex 9-0 and 4-3.
Mary Gordon and Brittany Howell combined for a one hitter in game one. PC rapped out 10 hits and the Lady Tigers (14-24) made fiver errors.
Presbyterian scored five times in the third and four times in the fourth inning.
Rachel West pitched four innings for SSU and struck out three batters.
Brittany Wilson had the lone SSU hit.
In game two, Savannah State led 2-1 but the Blue Hose scored three times in the fourth inning. SSU scored one run in the fifth but could not send any more runners across the plate.
Jessica Weimerskirk had two RBI for SSU while
Shamyra Adams scored two runs.
Krystle Frost struck out six batters but walked four batters for SSU.
Leslie Hensley and Brittany Howell combined to pitch a three hitter and strike out seven batters for PC (11-10).
