Personal: born on October 7, 1989…Parent is Kimberly Hunter… Major is Criminal Justice…Hobbies include playing football, reading, working out, playing pool and reading the Bible…Also recruited by Air Force Academy, Milsaps, Mississippi College and Alabama A&M.
2008: Hunter played in 11 games for the Tigers. He recorded 48 tackles, including 1.5 tackles for loss, and led the team in interceptions with five. He also led the team in interception return yards with 64. Hunter added seven pass breakups on the year.
2009: Hunter saw action in 17 games for SSU. He recorded 19 total tackles, he also had 1 interception and 3 pass breakups. His best game was against Charleston Southern were he recorded a season high of 7 tackles.
2010: Hunter played in 11 games and finished the season as the team leader in tackles with 76. He recorded 41 unassisted tackles along with two forced fumbles and one pass break-up. Hunter had a season high of 12 tackles against Georgia Southern University on Sept. 4.
