At Homestead, he had 67 tackles, 17 sacks, six forced fumbles and broke the school record with seven sacks in one game in his senior season. He was invited the North/South All Star game and was Second Team All-Dade and Third Team All-State.

2008: JeanBaptiste played in six games for SSU and recorded 17 tackles on the season. He had a career high six tackles vs. Bethune-Cookman. 
2009: The team’s fifth leading tackler, Jean-Baptiste played in all 10 games for SSU and recorded 50 tackles on the season. He also had seven tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, and one blocked kick. His best game for the Tigers came against Livingstone College in which he recorded seven tackles with tackles for loss and one sack.
2010: Jean-Baptiste played in 11 games for SSU and ranked fourth on the team in tackles with 59. He finished the season with 4.5 tackles for loss, a team leading two sacks, nd one forced fumble. He had a season-high of nine tackles vs. Georgia Southern University on Sept. 4, 2010.
