Misc – Attends church regularly and is a youth volunteer at his church. Has gone to New Orleans during the summer and helped rebuild homes and a pre-school.
2008 - Alston played in 10 games for SSU. He recorded 29 tackles including four for loss. He added 3 sacks and a forced fumble.
2009 – He played in seven games and finished the season with 15 tackles, one tackle for loss, and three forced fumbles. He had a season high four tackles against Edward Waters.
