SAVANNAH, Ga.- Savannah State University head volleyball coach Roselidah Obunaga has announced the Lady Tigers schedule for the 2025 season.

SSU will open the fall season with the annual Orange and Blue Scrimmage on September 1 and will start the regular with non-conference matches with Middle Georgia State University, Paine College and Brewton-Parker College.

The Lady Tigers will start the regular season on the road on Sept. 2 at Middle Georgia State. The Knights will travel to Tiger Arena on Sept. 4. Savannah State will travel to Paine on Sept. 9 and will host Brewton-Parker on Sept. 11. Paine will make the trip to SSU on Sept. 17 while the Lady Tigers will play at Brewton-Parker on Sept. 22.

Savannah State begins their conference slate when they make the trip to Albany, Georgia for the SIAC Crossover on Sept. 25-26. SSU will take on Spring Hill College and Tuskegee University on the first day of action and will play Miles College and Kentucky State University on the second day.

Following the crossover, SSU will close out Sept. with a road trip to Benedict College on Sept. 30 and will open October at home against Allen University on Oct. 2.

The second SIAC Crossover of the season will be in Memphis, Tennessee on Oct. 10-11. The Lady Tigers will go up against Central State University and Lane College on Oct. 10 and will close the crossover against LeMoyne-Owen on Oct. 11.

Savannah State will host Clark Atlanta University on Oct. 15 and Edward Waters University on Oct. 17, before going on the road to play Albany State University on Oct. 21.

A home match with Fort Valley State University looms on Oct. 23 before going on the road to face Allen (Oct 28), Benedict (Oct. 30), Clark Atlanta (November 5), Edward Waters (Nov. 7), and Fort Valley State (Nov. 11). 

Savannah State will close the regular season at home against Albany State.

The 2025 SIAC Tournament will be held Nov. 22-25 at a yet to be announced location.

The 2024 squad ended their season setting new marks in single season overall and conference wins. The Lady Tigers were 15-9 overall and posted a 13-6.

SSU was second in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference East Division and advanced to the semifinals of the conference tournament.
