INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.- HBCU All-Stars announced their third weekly honor of the 20225-26 season on Wednesday and Savannah State University senior guard Javonte Landy was named the HBCU All-Stars NCAA Division II SIAC Co-Player of the Week.
During the week of November 30-December 6, the Savannah, Georgia native averaged 26.5 minutes, 14 points, four rebounds, 2.5 steals and two assists per game.
In the Tigers 71-65 win over Central State University on December 4, Landy played 28 minutes and finished the contest with a game-high 16 points. He also five steals and four rebounds while making 5-of-6 shots from the free throw line.
Two days later on Dec. 6, in a 80-72 victory over Kentucky State University, the 5-foot-11 floor general had 12 points, four assists and four rebounds in his 25 minutes on the court. He also ended the game making 5-of-6 attempts from the free throw line.
The 2026 HBCU All-Star Game, a college basketball showcase highlighting 24 of the best HBCU players in the country, will be held in Indianapolis at Corteva Coliseum on the Indiana State Fairgrounds (Sunday, April 5, 2026) and will air live on national television and streaming networks.
