Landy Named Third Team All-SIAC

ATLANTA, Ga.- Savannah State senior point guard Javonte Landy was among 20 student-athletes around the league named to the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Men's Basketball All-SIAC teams for the 2025-26 season. The announcement was made on Wednesday morning by the SIAC office.

Landy was the Tigers team leader during the regular season, averaging 11.9 points, 4.2 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.5 steals per game.

The Savannah, Georgia native opened the season with a double-double effort of 23 points and ten rebounds against St. Leo. In that same game, he also made ten field goals.

Landy played a season-high of 39 minutes against Clark Atlanta and dished out five assists in six different games (Lane, Miles, Clark Atlanta, Edward Waters, Kentucky State, Spring Hill). In both games with Central State, he had five steals and had a block against Lane. In  the November 22, 2025 game with Lane, Landy went 8-for-8 from the free throw line.

Savannah State (16-11) will face Miles, the No. 2 seed in the SIAC West, on March 5 at 8 p.m. in the quarterfinals of the SIAC Tournament at the Clayton County Convention Center in Morrow, Georgia. SSU is the No. 3 seed from the SIAC East.
