Savannah State Releases 2024 Volleyball Slate

SAVANNAH, Ga.- The Savannah State University women's volleyball program has released their 2024 schedule which features seven contests on the SSU campus.
 
Savannah State will start the year with the annual Orange and Blue Scrimmage on September 3 and will open the regular season with road games at Brewton-Parker College on Sept. 6 and Middle Georgia State University on Sept. 10.
 
The Lady Tigers first home match of the season will be against Middle Georgia State on September 18.
 
SSU will travel to Albany, Georgia to play in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Crossover I on Sept. 20-21. Savannah State will take on Kentucky State University and LeMoyne-Owen College on Sept. 20 and will conclude the event with matches against Lane College and Tuskegee University on Sept. 21.
 
Following conference road matches at Clark Atlanta University (Sept. 27) and Edward Waters University (October 2), Savannah State will hit the road to Memphis, Tennessee to play in the SIAC Crossover II on Oct. 11-12. SSU will go against Spring Hill College and Miles College on Oct. 11 and will wrap up the crossover with Central State University on Oct. 12.
 
The Lady Tigers will close out the month of October with home matches against Allen University (Oct. 18), Benedict College (Oct. 19), Albany State University (Oct. 25) and Fort Valley State University (Oct. 28).
 
Savannah State will begin the month of November on the road with trips to Fort Valley State (Nov. 1) and Albany State (Nov. 2) before returning to play their final home matches of the season against Clark Atlanta (Nov. 7) and Edward Waters (Nov. 8).
 
SSU will conclude their regular season in Columbia, South Carolina with matches against Allen (Nov. 15) and Benedict (Nov. 16).
 
The SIAC Volleyball Championships will be played Nov. 21-23 at a site to be determined.
 
All home games will be played in Tiger Arena with the exception of the matches against Albany State and Fort Valley State which will be played in Willcox-Wiley Gymnasium.
