Lady Tigers Close Season At Women's Collegiate Championship

STOCKBRIDGE, Ga. – Savannah State women's golf concluded the 2021-2022 season this week at the annual Women's Collegiate Championship, hosted by the Women in Golf Foundation.
 
The Lady Tigers finished in ninth place overall and were led by veteran Ja'Davia McCallum who shot a two-round total of 174 (87, 87). Miracle Goolsby finished just behind her teammate with a 182 (91, 91). Kaila Leonard shot 278, while Kayla Harris rounded out the scoring for the Lady Tigers.
 
North Carolina A&T won the tournament with a two-round, team score of 625, followed by Delaware State, Texas Southern University, Chicago State, Prairie View A&M, Alabama State University, North Carolina Central and Maryland Eastern Shore.
 
The Women in Golf Foundation is a non-profit headquartered in Atlanta, that creates opportunities for female golfers by implementing programs that develop leadership and life skills. They support and provide training for female youth golfers early through college, according to their website.
