SIAC To Host 2022 Basketball Virtual Media Day

Atlanta, Ga. – The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) will host a virtual Basketball Media Day on Wednesday, Nov. 2 and Thursday, Nov. 3, according to a press release from the conference office.
 
Charles Ward, TV analyst for the SIAC and ESPN, will serve as host for the event which will be streamed live on the SIAC YouTube page. The event will begin at 10 a.m. with an address from new SIAC Commissioner Anthony Holloman.

The all-conference preseason honors and rankings will be announced right after, followed by a five-minute focus on each school. The head coach and two players from each of the teams in the conference will be represented on the call.
 
For Savannah State women's basketball, Head Coach Cedric Baker—last year's SIAC Coach of the Year—will be joined by center Bria Gibbs and guard Mia Goolsby. The Lady Tigers are set to be interviewed at 10:40 a.m. EST.  
 
Savannah State men's basketball Head Coach Horace Broadnax will be joined by forward's Larson Ashford and Eleik Bowles. The Tigers are set to be interviewed at  10:45 a.m. EST.
 
Savannah State men's basketball open their season on Nov. 15 in Tiger Arena when they host Voorhees College. The Lady Tigers open their season Nov. 26 in Frankfort, Kentucky against Kentucky State.
