SAVANNAH, Ga – Savannah State baseball will host a three-game, non-conference series this weekend against the Embry-Riddle University Eagles of the Sunshine State Conference.
All Savannah State home baseball games are free and open to the public.
Savannah State hasn't had the perfect start to the season but they have some bright spots. Batting has been good for the Tigers as they come into this series ranked second in the SIAC with a .243 avg.
The Tigers are led by
Luis Lamarche who is fourth overall in the conference with a batting average of .429. Things are not going so well for the Tigers in pitching though. Savannah State has a pitching ERA of 6.50 which is third in the SIAC.
The Embry-Riddle Eagles (4-2) enter the series ranked third in the Sunshine State Conference. In their last game they fell to Auburn University at Montgomery 6-9.
