VALDOSTA, Ga. – Savannah State women's golf finished 7th overall in the 2019
Thomas University Invitational to open the fall golf season.

The Lady Tigers shot a team score of 680 (344, 336) over the two-day, two-round tournament at the Kinderlou Forest Golf Club in Valdosta, Ga.

Ja'Davia McCallum led the Lady Tigers shooting a 164 overall. She improved on her first round 85 with a 79 on day two.
Alyssa Clements followed with a 169 (81, 88).
Monique Veal shot a 91 on day one and improved a full nine-strokes on day too finishing with an 80, carding a 171 overall.
Kayla Jones shot 176 (87, 89) followed by
Tasneem Ward (186-91-95).

Dalton State won the tournament with a team score of 609 (299, 310), followed by Southeastern University Florida (632), Johnson & Wales (645), Thomas University (646), Coastal Georgia (653) and Webber International (668). Webber's Hannah Revell won the individual, carding a 149 (74, 75).

The Lady Tigers return to action later this month at the Tiger Fall Invitational. Both the SSU men's and women's golf teams will host the two-day tournament Oct. 27-28 at Crosswinds Golf Club in Pooler.
