SAVANNAH, Ga. – The Savannah State University women's basketball team (3-17) continues a four-game homestand with the final nonconference game of the season against Allen University (15-11) Monday at 7 p.m. in Tiger Arena.
 
Junior forward Kaylee Allen leads the Lady Tigers with 16.2 points per game, which ranks second in the MEAC, and averages 6.0 rebounds.  The Cincinnati, Ohio native averages 20.8 points, which leads the conference, and 8.6 rebounds, which ranks seventh in the MEAC in conference play.  In her last three games, Allen is averaging 26.5 points, 8.8 rebounds and 3.0 steals.
 
Freshman center Alexxus Sowell leads the team with 7.9 rebounds per game, which ranks fifth in the MEAC and leads with 2.5 blocks per game, which ranks tied for second in the conference and ranks 24^th in the National Collegiate Athletic Association.  In conference play, Sowell averages 8.4 rebounds, which ranks eighth in the MEAC, and is second in the conference with 3.9 blocks.  In her last four games, the Lancaster, S.C., native is averaging 9.0 points, 8.3 rebounds and 5.8 blocks while shooting 50.0 (16-for-32) percent from the floor. 
 
The Yellow Jackets have lost the last three games and are led by Kamya Thomas with 16.6 points per game and with 4.2 rebounds per game, while Jada Sleet adds 6.2 points per game and Afeni Richardson with 6.2 points per game and 3.3 rebounds per game.
 
The Lady Tigers continue the homestand with Morgan State University Saturday at 2 p.m. in Tiger Arena.
