Savannah, Ga. -- The Tigers play the second of two consecutive road games when they take on Florida A&M on Wednesday night in Tallahassee, Fla.

· SSU is on a five-game win streak for the first time this season. The last time the Tigers won five consecutive games was last season when the team won six-straight in the middle of the season.
· SSU is currently tied for 1st place in the MEAC standings with N.C. A&T after posting a 6-1 record. The Tigers are 6-1 in the conference for the 1st time since 2012-13 when they began conference play 6-1.
· SSU leads the nation in total 3-pointers made with 267, 3-pointers per game averaging 12.1 and three point attempts with 898. The Tigers are in the top 10 nationally in: steals per game (5th) averaging 9.5; total steals (4th) with 210; and turnovers forced (5th) averaging 18.59.

The Savannah State Tigers rank #1 in the MEAC in 10 statistical categories. The Tigers lead the conference in: 3-pt field goals attempted (898), assist turnover ratio (1.15), scoring offense (83.0), steals per game (9.5), 3-pt field goals per game (12.1), total 3-pointers made (267), total assists (345), total steals (210), turnover margin (5.0), and turnovers forced (18.59).

MOVING BACK DOWN
In April 2017, the Savannah State administration made the decision to move SSU athletics from Division I to Division II. The move will become effective following the 2018-19 season.
MCCLANAHAN LEADING SSU
Dexter McClanahan is 7th in the conference in three-point field goals made with 52 and is averaging 2.4 made threes per game. McClanahan is also 8th in the conference in scoring averaging 15.9 ppg.
TOUGH SCHEDULE
SSU's non-conference schedule features five teams that are ranked in the AP Top 25 poll (Michigan State, Wichita State, Cincinnati, Baylor and Texas A&M)
CONFERENCE CLASH—SSU will play teams from 11 different Division I conferences (MEAC, American, Southern, Sun Belt, Ohio Valley, SWAC, Big 12, Colonial, Southeastern, Atlantic Coast and Big 10
SIGHT SEEING—SSU will play games in 12 different states this season (Ohio, Louisiana, Tennessee, Texas, Kansas, Georgia, Virginia, Michigan, Maryland, Delaware, Florida and South Carolina).
