SAVANNAH, Ga. – Savannah State University sophomores Nigel Brown, Morgan Ellis-Foster and LaRon James travel to Lexington, Ky., for the National Collegiate Athletic Association Outdoor Track and Field Championship starting Thursday and ending Saturday. 
 
Brown has the 36^th fastest time in the 200-meter dash in the east regional with a personal-best time of 20.93 set at the Weems Baskin Invitational at the University of South Carolina on March 25 to finish third in the event.  The Greensboro, Ga., native finished fifth at the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Outdoor Championship with a time of 21.35. 
 
The first round of the 200-meter dash is scheduled for Friday at 7:55 p.m. and the quarterfinals is scheduled for Saturday at 7:50 p.m.
 
Ellis-Foster has the 21^st best time in the east regional in the 400-meter hurdles with a personal-best time of 51.76 at the Weems Baskin Invitational to finish second at the event and nearly missed setting a school-record of 51.71.  The Philadelphia, Pa., native also finished fourth at the MEAC Outdoor Championships with a time of 52.58.
 
The first round is scheduled for Thursday at 5 p.m. and the quarterfinals is scheduled for Friday at 7:15 p.m.
 
James has the 32^nd best jump in the east regional with a long jump of 7.53 meters (24-8.5) set at the MEAC Outdoor Championship.  The jump set the school record and won the event.  The Bucholtz, Fla., native also won the MEAC Indoor Championship with a jump of 7.45 meters (24-5.5).  The first round of the long jump is Thursday at 7:15 p.m.
 
The semifinals and finals are held in Eugene, Ore., from June 7-10.
