SAVANNAH, Ga. – The Savannah State University women's basketball team (2-4) was not able to get out of Savannah Saturday to fly to Atlanta because of the snow storm in the Atlanta area, but will drive Sunday to Charleston, S.C., to fly to Madison, Wisc., to face Big Ten opponent University of Wisconsin (6-5). The start time has been pushed back from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Eastern Time.
This will be the first matchup between the Lady Tigers and Wisconsin.
Junior forward Kaylee Allen leads the Lady Tigers with 15.0 points per game, which ranks sixth in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference, and averages 4.3 rebounds, while junior guard Donasja Scott averages 13.3 points and 8.0 rebounds.
Freshman center Alexxus Sowell leads the team with 8.8 rebounds per game, while freshman guard Heniaya Moton averages 10.6 points and 1.2 assists per game.
This will be the fifth game in eight days for the Badgers as Wisconsin has posted a 2-2 record during the stretch. The Badgers are led by Cayla McMorris with 14.9 points per game and averages 7.2 rebounds per game, while Marsha Howard averages 11.3 points per game and 8.2 rebounds.
The Lady Tigers continue west heading to Oregon to face Oregon State University Wednesday at 2 p.m. Eastern Time.
