SAVANNAH, Ga.  – The Savannah State University women's volleyball team (3-18, 1-4 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) is looking for its second consecutive win Monday hosting North Carolina Central University (2-15, 2-3 MEAC) at 6 p.m. in Willcox-Wiley Gymnasium for Dig Pink, in support of Breast Cancer Awareness. 
 
The Lady Tigers are led by junior outside hitter Jennifer Rosado with 1.54 kills per set, senior setter Alee Quint with 4.15 assists per set and freshman libero Leiri Melendez with 2.99 digs per set. 
 
Freshman middle blocker Tyran Chenault leads the team with 0.81 blocks per set and is third with 1.36 kills per set, while freshman setter Salma Gonzalez averages 1.95 digs per set, 2.96 assists per set and 1.22 kills per set.
 
Savannah State won at South Carolina State University Friday 3-2 (25-17, 15-25, 21-25, 25-23, 18-16) the last time out for the first conference win of the season.  Freshman outside hitter Amanda Rullan Vilanova led the team with 16 kills and three service aces, while Quint led the team with 25 assists and Melendez led with 11 digs. 
 
North Carolina Central won the meeting earlier this season with a 3-1 (20-25, 22-25, 25-22, 10-25) victory in Durham, N.C., on Oct. 8.  The Lady Tigers were led by Rosado with 11 kills, Quint with 22 assists and Melendez with 18 digs, while the Eagles were led by Da'Nesha Miller with 15 kills, Paige Phillips with 43 assists and Bree Simmons with 21 digs.
 
The Eagles has lost the last two matches over the weekend and are led by Miller with 2.07 kills per set, Phillips with 7.41 assists per set and Simmons with 3.60 digs per set. 
 
The Lady Tigers finish the two-match homestand with Mercer University Oct. 25 at 6 p.m. in Willcox-Wiley Gymnasium.
